Founded Fireside Group which offers sustainable solutions in telecommunications, electromechanical and civil engineering services within the East African and sub-Saharan region. She is known to say that she developed Fireside Group into the model workplace she once craved. For example, her office has a crèche, decorated with Mickey and Minnie mouse. As as a young girl, she picked coffee on farms. Nowadays she enjoys bungee jumping.

To pursue her dreams in journalism, she wrote to the editor of Kenya Times telling him why he should hire her and suggested a commencement date for the job.
